Fahed G. Al Shamesi
Chief Executive Officer, AMMROC
Fahed, a UAE national, is the CEO of Advanced Military Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC), a Mubadala Aerospace, Sikorsky and Lockheed Martin Joint Venture company based in Abu Dhabi. He has held this position since 2009.
Concurrently, Fahed is serving as a Staff Brigadier General (Engineering) in the UAE Air Force, was a Board Chairman of Horizon International Flight Academy and a Board Member of Al Taif Technical Services and Bayanat for Mapping and Surveying Services. He has also previously been a Board Member of Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and SR Technics (SRT).
Fahed joined the UAE Air Force as a Cadet in 1983. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from St. Louis University (USA) in 1987. During the period 1989-1992, Fahed was seconded by the UAE Air Force to ADAT (formerly GAMCO), to play a key role in building military MRO capability for the UAE AF. After successfully completing his stint at ADAT, Fahed became the Maintenance Officer for Apache AH-64 Program before being appointed as the Chief Engineer for 69th Air Combat Group. In 2003, he was posted in Turkey to manage the F-16 Block 60 Training Program and by 2005, he returned to the UAE where he assumed the role of F-16 Block 60 Chief Engineer.
During the restructuring of ADAT in 2008, Fahed was appointed as the EVP – Military Department and was tasked by Mubadala to lead the spinoff of the Military Department into a new company called AMMROC.

Bernard R. Kelleher
Chief Commercial Officer, AMMROC
Bernie Kelleher serves as Lockheed Martin’s Chief Commercial Officer to the Mubadala, Lockheed Martin, and Sikorsky joint venture enterprise AMMROC, and was board appointed to this role in January 2014. He is responsible for all business development, strategy, and communications for AMMROC within the UAE as well as South Asia, Middle East and Northern Africa (SAMENA).
Bernie joined Lockheed Martin in 1986 and has held a variety of positions. His most recent assignment was in Brussels, Belgium, where he supported Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as the senior executive for Field Technical Operations, Logistics, and Sustainment programs for F-16, C-130, and P-3 platforms for USAFE and multiple European air forces. Prior to this, he was assigned to LM Corporate Business Development for F-22, Logistics, and Sustainment/MRO programs for Air Combat Command and Defense Logistics Agency at Langley, Virginia. Additionally, he has served as Director of International Business Development for Lockheed Martin Argentina, S.A., and Director International Business Development for Aircraft & Logistics Center. As the F-22 Site Manager at Langley AFB, he was responsible for the initial bed-down of two squadrons of F-22A aircraft.
Bernie’s educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Master in Business Management from Troy State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from Texas A & M University. He has also completed a number of major corporate and university development programs, including Program Management, Advanced Program Management, Performance Based Logistics, and International Business Development.
Bernie and his wife, Julie, have two children and reside in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Chief Operating Officer, AMMROC
Hamid Salim has served as Chief Operating Officer for AMMROC since 2013. In this position, he provides strategic leadership and direction for over 3,000 employees supporting the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul business. He plays a significant role in overseeing operations progress, identifying process improvements, and partnering with the business entities to establish and instill best practices. He is also responsible for implementing innovative ideas to promote growth in the SAMENA region and foster the highest degree of world-class customer satisfaction with the services provided by the company. His overall responsibilities include Operations, Programs, Supply Chain Management, Continuous Improvement, Training, Information Technology, Transportation and Facilities.
Hamid brings 18 years of engineering, operations, and program management experience to this role with prior positions of increasing responsibility, beginning as a Flight Test Engineer within Pratt & Whitney on the F-15 & F-16 aircraft, then progressing to more senior program management roles within Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies; both domestic and internationally. Hamid is a graduate of the esteemed United Technologies Operations Leadership Program where he gained experience in leading large scale operations, quality and supply chain management. He attended the US Defense Systems Management College for Program Managers and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Hamid also has prior operational experience with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Joint Aviation Command, as he managed the acquisition and delivery of the UH-60M helicopter program.
